I am SOOOOO excited. My silhouette cameo is waiting at the post office for my hubby to pick up after work. I can't wait to get it and started cutting some stuff out. I've been planning all kinds of things with the software and can't contain my excitement. I reworked my computer area in the main living area so that it's near the printer and laptop. I'll be sure to share some projects soon. hehe =D

Update: WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!! It's here, it was incredibly easy to set up, and I'm working on printing out the 2nd project. It's a little noisy but not overly bothersome. I love the way it cuts. I'm very happy with it. hehe

Ruby was born with her bottom 2 teeth. Our first night home I spent with my finger in her mouth helping her to cut them through. =D

I miss my baby girls bright blue eyes (my other kiddolets have my brown eyes) and super sweet face.

My little sweetpea taking advantage of her sister being at school to play with the fun toys ALL BY HERSELF!!! She was SO happy that day. hehe

It's been 5 years since I said goodbye to my little girl and encouraged her to go home to her Saviour. One of RooBoo's favourite songs was You Are My Sunshine. I used to sing it to her most every night before she went to bed as we looked outside at the stars. Ruby was a spunky little girl who liked to get into anything that she could. She had a vibrant sparkle in her eye and loved to be snuggled. I really miss my little girl and can't wait until I am called home. I can't wait to hold her in my arms again and sing to her.

I've been super busy the past few days. I have a big order of prelined alligator clips that I'm working on so I don't have a card example this week. This is one of my fav scriptures that I have learnt the hard way. I didn't really get this scripture until my daughter Ruby passed away. I went through a full mental breakdown and while I was in the hospital the Lord lead me to some very specific scriptures regarding parenting and our children. The Lord really carried me through those first few years of her being gone. I now know that when you are going through those hard times in life that if you lean on Him, you are stronger than you could ever imagine. Blessings. =)

Ruby Tuesday Scripture ~ 2 Corinthians 1:20

Time for another Ruby Tuesday freebie. This is one of my favourite verses, it's so uplifting and encouraging. I've had a busy week so far and have worked out some anxiety by making cards. I'm really missing my Ruby, the month before her death anniversary is always really hard on me. It's so hard for me to eve contemplate that it'll be 5 years since my little girl went to be with our Saviour. Please keep me in your prayers over the next month, I have a lot of anticipatory grief and anxiety and am usually okay on the day of. I'm learning to enjoy the week of her death but it's still hard. She was pronounced dead on the 12th, our wedding anniversary and the day I held Roo in my arms encouraging her to go home is the 13th and then valentine's is the 14th. It's a lot to process.

Cards I Made This Week

Wanted to share a couple of cards I made this week. I've written out a schedule and I find I'm more motivated to get cards done when I know what theme I want to accomplish. Week one went well, I got 4 cards made, even my Ruby Tuesday for next week!!!! Yeah!!!!!

This first one was first inspired by the sentiment. It's by Create with TLC (thanks for the great digi sentiments Paulette!!!) and when I saw it I knew the EXACT!!! little monster I wanted to use. The little monster is from Stamp Fairy and she had some pretty adorable stamps.

I made a couple little baby sets this week also. My daughter helped by coordinating the flower pieces, I think she did a wonderful job. She a bit of a craft junkie like her mama. lol The holding hands digi stamp is by Bugaboo Stamps. How many of us remember when our newborn would hold our finger and our heart would melt. I have many memories like that with my 3 little puddin' pops. The inside sentiment is by Rainbow Echo Designs. I really liked using the same design but using different colours to make both the boy and girl card.

Hey everyone!!!! It's another Tuesday and I'm having a great day so far. My son and I went for a fun walk today and discovered some pinecones and chipmunks. He's such a sweetie.

Finished my first order of Valentine's yesterday. All of these little digi stamps are from Bugaboo Stamps, I love her stuff and I think it's my go to person for super cute digi stamps.

Ruby Tuesday Scripture ~ KJV Proverbs 23:12

Last year, I had a follower ask if I could do some of my dig stamps in KJV, so every 5 weeks or so I'll be doing them. I hope everyone had a good new year. I'm enjoying my last few full days with my kids, yet I'm looking forward to them getting back into their school routine. Children with autism thrive on routine and mine are a bit out of sorts, so I'm looking forward to getting them back to their routine.

Hey hon ~ I'm so sorry that I haven't gotten back to you yet on your comments. Things have just been crazy around our house and I got a little sidetracked.

With the scriptures I do on scrapbook max, I use the Captions button (it looks like a little "a" right beside a big "A") and I type in what word I want in it.

Then I try on a font and scroll through them until I find the one I like and want to use. SBM comes with a lot of fonts but a lot of the ones I use I've downloaded. I'll add some links at the bottom of the places I frequent quite often.

I play around with different sizes until I get the effect I like. It's a lot of work but it's also a lot of fun once you've done it a few times. After I am done, I print it out big (usually 2 different scriptures per page) about 5inches height wise, and then I print what the font was and the number of how big the font is. I'm really paranoid about losing them on the computer and not being able to make them again, so this little system works for me.

When I publish them, I go through a way too long process (but that's my ocd hehe), you can just publish them at "highest" and trim them in whatever word document you have. I publish, plop them in SBM again and resize so that there's no big white spaces in between. hehe

** I also definately enjoy doing special requests and am thinking of making it a bi-monthly thing, I've been getting lots of requests for custom ones, so stay tuned and leave a comment of what you'd like and I'll make it up at some point.

Crayon Wreath For Aizen's Teacher

I just finished making the crayon wreath for Aizen's teacher for Christmas. I got the idea from this youtube video and thought I'd try it out. It's SOOOOO cute. He is in a community classroom which is specifically for autistic children, so I found this really sweet autism awareness apple and knew I had to use it.

It was a lot of fun to make. I had to redo it b/c Aizen got into it and tore all the crayons off. I was not pleased but I can giggle about it now. Now I just need to put it in a HIGH-ER place where he can't see it.

This sentiment is so true about Ms. Hay. She has so much enthusiasm working with these boys. She is always cheerful and is well trained to do very creative things with them to get them learning.

Made a cute chalkboard and Melody thought it needed a piece of chalk!! lol, thus the little white piece of chalk at the bottom hehe

Heyas!!! When you download the file it will be in a compressed file. The front off the file should look like it has a zipper on it.

Right click on it and select the option "Extract All".

Go through the prompts and save it to where you would like on your computer, I always plop mine onto my desktop so I remember to deal with them.

It will then show you have two files, the one that looks like it's zipped (and can go into the recyling bin if you like) and a regular looking file. Click on it and your digi stamps should be there.

They're finished!!!! I had so much fun making my Christmas cards this year. I decided to go with a twisted easel card. I wanted to go with non-christmasy colours that go together. So here are the ones I picked. I think they turned out really cute.

The little heart christmas tree is from Meljen's Designs.

I can't believe I flaked out last week. I completely forgot to put up last week's freebie. Things have been so chaotic around our house with the kids, school, getting halloween wrapped up and taking the plunge into christmas gift making, etc.

Susan ~ I use a program called Scrapbook Max. I play around with the different fonts and adjust the size of my paper to fit around the image. Scrapbook Max is very user friendly and inexpensive. I started using it originally for just digi scrapbooking, but now I use it to make these sentiments, apply my watermark to my pictures, etc. ~****~****~****~ In regards to doing christmas scriptures, this year I won't be able to do it. I've got a really big custom order that is taking up a lot of time plus doing our handmade christmas presents. It's definately something I will do next year. =)

So, here is the scripture from last week. It's all about contenment.

This week's was so much fun to make and I hope you like it as well. We are free from our past sins when our Saviour sets us free.

I just finished up my Christmas cards and I need to take some pictures of them. They are super cute this year and the kids had fun helping me at certain points during it. Aizen's Halloween Class Bags Done ~ Off To Indulge In Some Reading

Yeah!!!! Both kids classroom halloween loot stuff is all finished and ready to head to school. I did Aizen's all digitally and then printed it. Another adorable digi stamp by Bugaboo Stamps. The little spider is just too cute!!!!!

AiAi has 4 classmates and I changed the name on each of them. They are getting 6 little tubs of playdoh, a kazoo, a little rubber stamp and a booklet of halloween stickers. I think they are just adorable and turned out so cute.

Melody's Class Halloween Gifts

I got Melody's cards done for Halloween. We don't give out candy to classmates but make a little loot bag with things like playdoh, halloween related toys, glow in the dark vampire teeth, glow sticks etc. Well, Melody is 10 and didn't want to do that this year, she wanted to do something more grown-up. She's such a tween!!!! So, we decided on gift cards to our local donut shop Tim Horton's!!! I used a digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps for the front. I think the witch's legs are just hilarious!!!!

Ruby Tuesday Scripture ~ Philippians 4:19 & AiAi's Halloween Costume

Yep, it's that time of year again. Halloween is always so much fun. This year my kids are coordinating. Mel is going to be a crossing guard and AiAi is going to be a stop light. I have the first part of AiAi's outfit done and I just need to make him a hat that matches. It gets pretty cold here at Halloween time. He didn't want to sit for a picture so my hubby had to grab him and I snapped the shot as fast as I could. lol

I used a CD to trace the circles onto felt. Cut them out, arranged and pinned them on with a safety pin. Then did a very simple lazy stitch around each colour in a matching thread. SO easy to do.

Here is the scripture for this week. What a wonderful promise this scripture holds for us. God is gracious, wonderful, mighty and He provvides for ALL your needs. Sometimes we wonder if God really does this b/c we ask for something and don't get it. We have to remember that God knows what we Need instead of what we Want. Enjoy!!!!

New Addiction!!!! GIMP!!!!!

I have a new addiction!!!!! I've seen a few people use the GIMP program to colour their stamps digitally and thought I'd try it out. It's a free program and so far I LOVE IT!!!! I haven't done much except colour in some digi stamps.

The first hour was really confusing but I figured out how to get what I wanted achieved with just experimenting.

I opened up the program and then found the digi stamp where it was stored on my computer. I couldn't figure out how to import it so I just dragged the image into the work area.

I then went to the Bucket Fill Tool and played around til I got the colours I wanted and these are just some examples of what I did. I put my watermark on it so it can't be stolen. These each took me about 2-3 minutes to colour.

HUGE NOTE!!!! When you are doing a "save as", make sure you save to your desktop OR you will replace your original digi stamp. I only did this with one and have been really careful with the remaining images I've coloured.

Is it really the last Tuesday in September? Where has the time gone? We've settled into our school schedule really well and Aizen is doing great at school. The smaller classroom is helping a lot with his sensory issues and I can't wait to see him thrive this year.

Here is a card made by Christel over at Scrappin Sista. Look at the beautiful fall colours, our yard is starting to look this colour with all the leaves falling. I really like the detressing she did along the edges, it makes it feel very autumn to me.

Here is a custom order that I made recently. This person wanted to use the scripture Lamentation 3:22-23 and it's such a great one. When I reach 400 members, I'll give it out as a freebie. =)

I totally flaked yesterday and forgot to put the new sentiments in my store yesterday. Our first week of school is over and Melody is as usual adjusting really well. Aizen is doing well in his community classroom. He is adjusting well to the schedule and we will be working on stretching his attention span during work periods for a minute right now. He's currently sitting for about 10-15 seconds. The smaller classroom is great for him. Less noise and less distraction, lots of interaction with the teacher and educational assistants and we've got some great goals for him this year. I can't wait to see him blossom.

HAPPY BACK TO SCHOOL DAY!!!!!!!!!

The summer just flew by!!! Where did it go? It seems like just yesterday I was getting Melody off the bus from her last day of grade 4. So, here is my little girl starting her first day of grade 5. New backpack and lunch bag, new shoes and lots of school supplies from last year.

Aizen has his first day tomorrow for an hour to introduce him to his classmates, teachers and educational assistants. Then he starts full time afternoons, everyday on Thursday.

Here is this weeks scripture. It's all about how our words heal and our insults and mean remarks can pierce like swords and hurt others. I know there are certainly times when I've gotten upset and said things I shouldn't have said. God always wants us to apologize for our wrong actions and words. Those words can bring healing to the person you have hurt.

Even though it's been almost 10 years, they are still grieving the loss of their loved one. The intensity of the pain lessens every year but there is still an overwhelming sadness as the day approaches and it can still be incredibly hard the day of. ((((hugs to all survivors and family of those who were affected by 9-11))))

I wanted to say thank you so much for your prayers about my thyroid. I'm still waiting on not being tired all the time but I'm past the ramp up in my anxiety and for that I am Truly thankful.

This weekend is a bittersweet one for me, I'm so excited for my little boy to be starting school but I'm also sad that I won't have him around all the time. He's going to be in a wonderful classroom that is smaller than the usual kindergarten class. It's specifically for children with autism, has 6 children, 1 teacher and 3 education assistants. They are doing so much with him there that we are doing at home and with early intervention so I'm looking forward to seeing Aizen bloom this year!!

Ruby Tuesday Scripture ~ James 5:16

It's already the end of August!!!! In 2 days it's my birthday!!! I'll have a little something for you to download that day, so please come back on Thursday for that.  Can I ask for some prayers for myself? My thyroid is low and I've just started a new medication.  I'm feeling some of the side effects that you can have until you start to get used to it. When Ruby passed away I had a full mental breakdown and I suffer from a clinical depression and anxiety. With this new med my anxiety is just over the top right now. I'm also really tired and hope that when my thyroid is back to normal I'll have my energy back. Can you please pray that I adjust to the meds soon? Thanks so much!!!

Now onto this week's digi stamp.  It's so important to pray for others and let others know what our struggles are. You may feel nervous and scared of what others may think, but others who are following Christ will know what you are going through. Satan wants us to keep these types of things to ourselves and weaken the body of Christ, by having other pray for us we are showing our unity and strengthening the body of Christ. =)

We Finally get to see the last bit of Janis' file folder card she made. She did such a wonderful job on it and I love seeing things that are different and not always a card. The snail on this part is just adorable and this one is my daughter's favourite of the ones she made. You can check out Janis' blog HERE.

Mary over at CardzTV made this elegant and pretty card. I really like how the little roses blend in so well with the background paper. They pop and your eyes are drawn to the scripture. Beautiful job Mary!!

Bright vibrant colours showcase the card that Carolee over at Carolee's Creative Classroom made. I like the button accent she attached to the circle paper. It looks like she also stretched out the scripture to fit into the shape she wanted to use with it. I often do that with my stamps as well. hehe

Mariam over at Purple Lily Studio really wow'd me this week with her project. She made a prayer file folder for a friend of hers. She has a video to showcase it and you can see just how beautiful it really is. The roses are gorgeous and it's so pretty and elegant.

I can't believe that it's almost the end of August. My munchkins will be heading to school in just a few short weeks. AiAi is staring JK!!!! and Melody is going into grade 5, where did the summer go? Today's scripture is a great one. "We live by faith, not by sight." There are so many times in our lives when we feel that we need something tangible from God for us to know that He is there. He wants us to live by faith and know He is always with us. It's great when He gives us little physical reminders that He is around and they are to be treasured. What a great God we serve!!!! =D

This is the next installment on Janis' file folder card over on Pause Dream Enjoy. I really like the little accents on the flower. It was cute how she highlighted them and of course I love the stitching she made. It's one thing I do quite often in my cards. hehe

Thought I'd update my blog and try to get these italian charms out of my house and possibly onto your wrist or someone you adore. hehe A few years ago, I used to make and sell Italian Charms. It's not a craft I am interested in anymore and I'm selling my stash so I can afford Christmas presents for the kids this year.

These are on a first come, first served basis. I have only one of each of these charms, except on page 6, where I have a duplicate of a couple charms. These are really nice charms. My photography skills on the other hand... well I am not very good at photographing shiny things.

1. Choose (on page 7) what type of starter bracelet you would like. Shiny, matte or shiny with a gold coloured trim. Please measure loosely around your wrist and let me know in inches what that is so I can make sure your bracelet will be big enough to fit you.

2. Write down the number of the charm you want. I made it really easy. Each line is a letter and then the number after it.

3. Head on over to my website and purchase the charms and starter bracelet (if you need one) you would like. Then I'll get your bracelet all ready for you to wear when you get it.

4. I'll update these pages when things get sold. Thanks for taking these charms off my hands!! These also make really nice present to say you are thinking of someone, Birthday Presents and even Christmas presents!!!!

Ruby Tuesday Scripture ~ John 6:35

This was one of the first scriptures I ever heard when I was a little girl. It wasn't until many years later that it had a real meaning to me. When we feel empty in our lives, we need only to look to our Saviour and He will feed and quench that thirst within us. I hope this scripture blesses you and is a reminder you can send to others that once again we need only go to Jesus for anything we need.

Kerri over at Precious Pixels made a really pretty card front done digitally. I like the flowers and seeing her creation reminds me that I need to get back into doing my digi scrapbooking. Thanks Kerri!! I'm inspired. =D

Yeah!!! It's a card from Mary over at Cardz TV!!! I am so thrilled to have a picture of one of her creations!!!! Look at how pretty the flowers are. I also like the detail of the little curl of the paper. So delicate!!

When I first got this card from Theresa over at The Scrapbooking Queen I couldn't stop laughing. I A-dore the loaf of bread. What a super cute and creative interpretation of this scripture. She is so creative and never ceases to amaze me!!

Mariam over at Purple Lily Studio made a cute magnet for her fridge. The white flowers look like bread dough flowers to me. I asked if they were and they weren't ... so... later on today I am going to get my daughter to help me take some pictures and I'll do a tutorial on how to make a dough from glue and a slice of bread. She did a beautiful job on the distressing of the image, she is very good at this. =D

Can you believe it's almost the middle of August? School is almost upon us!!!! This week's scripture is a great one. It's great to know that all we have to do is call on God and He'll answer us and He's ALWAYS with us!!!!! Such a great reminder of what a wonderful Lord we serve!!

Mariam over at Purple Lily Studio made this awesome keychain!!! She's going to put it on her purse to carry along to her as a continuous reminder of these promises of God. She did it on shrinky dink paper and then coated it with UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel ~ this stuff ROCKS at making things shiny and durable!!!)

Shannon over at My Scrappy Creations made this cute card with one of her handcrafted flowers. She handmakes paper flowers and even sells them on her website. Check her out!!

Mary over at Cardz TV made a really lovely circle card. I really like seeing different styles of cards. The paper she used isn't something I'd normally be drawn to but seeing how she put it all together, makes me want to use the goldish green paper she used. Thanks Mary!!!

I love the mix of realistic and paper in this card by Kerri over at Precious Pixels. The flowers are done with paper and the leaves are more realistic, such a neat detail on this card!!! I think the scripture is printed on a marbled paper and I think it looks very adorable.

Good afternoon everyone!!!! It's Ruby Tuesday again and I'm sorry this is getting posted so late, I had a late morning reading a new book and so here is this week's scripture freebie. It's another great one. When we want to find God all we need to do is seek Him out with all our heart. He's such an amazing God and it's so simple just to seek the Lord this way, He comforts us, loves us and helps us during those times when we feel you are most alone.

Mary over at CardzTV has a super cute card over on her blog. You can see the video she made this week, I really like the way it all goes together. It's a cute and cheerful card. The button detail is just adorable!!!!

Mariam over at Purply Lily Studio made a Gorgeous scrapbook page using this scripture. It showcases the day she was baptized (insert proud smiley here!!!). I really like the use of the little 3D butterfly and the colours are just so elegant. Great job Miriam!!!!

Shannon made this cute card over at My Scrappy Creations and I really like the distressing on the image. The colours go so well together and it is cute yet very delicate.

Janis over at Pause Dream Create has 2 projects and here is the first card she made. I like how she changed the colour of the digi stamp and I like the details of the raised background pages. The white little dots and the green flowers really add a delicate touch to her card.

Now the second project that Janis made is a super cute file folder card that I'll be showing little bits of throughout the month. She used all the August scriptures. I like the detail of the nesting doll in front. The colours all coordinate together REALLY well and I'm looking forward to showing you all more of it as the weeks go by. It's really adorable. =D

Birthday Card For Tomorrow

Melody is heading to a party tomorrow so I had a card that needed to be made. I made this one a little bigger than I normally do so I could do justice to the cute digi stamp on the front. My friends, I am SO stoked!!!! I got my birthday present super early from my inlaws. They usually ask us what we want and since I wanted a new printer, I asked if dad could find me an epson at a good price. This man loves to find deals on things. He got it for around $60!!! I'm SO excited to be able to print off my scriptures and make some cards. Here is the one he got me. It's so shiny and new and I love it!!!

Ruby Tuesday Scripture Freebie ~ Psalm 119 vs. 105

We had a wonderful vacation and I'm glad to be back home and getting back into our regular routine. I'll share some pictures later, most of them are on my father in law's camera (he has a Really nice one and I like using it more than my own lol). We had a lot of fun at the beach, meeting some new friends, making ice cream, stuffing build a bears, swimming in the pool, playing on the wii, having a harry potter marathon and so much more.

This scripture takes me back to when I was a kid at camp and we would sing this song at the campfires. My designers made some really cute, romantic and fun cards this week. Head on over to their sites and see what else they have going on.

Mary over at CardzTV made a lovely card that features a little kerosene lamp that looks just wonderful. She always makes great cards and I enjoy watching her videos!!

Shannon over at My Scrappy Creations made a lovely card. I like the way she cut out the leaves and made it pop out from the card. I also really like the lace detail at the bottom. I'm really starting to like the lace look and think this is something I want to try soon.

Theresa over at The Scrapbooking Queen made a fun and adorable card. I love the little light bulb and it made me smile when I first saw it. How adorable is that little light bulb?

A very romantic and delicate card was made from Miriam at Purple Lily Studio. She did a wonderful job blending on the scripture and I think the pearl flourishes add such a special touch.

Ruby Tuesday Scripture Freebie ~ Revelation 3 vs. 19

Hey all. I'm on vacation right now and scheduled this post to publishon the Tuesday. I'll go through any comments when I get back and get those published. Please pray for us as we are up north. I worry about Aizen and the lake. He has very little impulse control and likes to run off. We're taking the harness with us and he'll have his life jacket on most of the time we're up at the time share. I just worry. =)

So, here is the scripture for the week. When I first learnt this scripture it was a big wake up call to me that being a Christian wasn't wonderful and rosey. That when we do sin and make mistakes the Lord will rebuke and discipline us. The thing that made all the difference is knowing that God does all of this out of love, He doesn't want to see us sin but being with Him being a good parent, usually the only way we learn a hard lesson is by being disciplined.

God doesn't want to be a squasher of fun and we have rules b/c He KNOWS how much they will hurt us when we sin. He gives us those rules so that we will not get hurt and have our hearts broken. We truly can have wonderful, fun, fulfilling and great lives by following the rules and guidelines He sets for us in our lives.

Shannon over at My Scrappy Creations used some of my favourite colours together and she used really pretty dimensional butterflies. How cute is the little heart lace trim on the side of the card??

Mary over at CardzTV posted a new video and showed a wonderful tutorial on using the center point feature on the cricut. Check it out, it makes a lot of sense and makes it so easy for you to use this function on your machine.

I really like the complimenting colours in the card that Carolee over at Carolee's Creative Classroom used. I really enjoy browns and reds together. I never thought to put an olive colour with red but it works really well in the designer paper she used.

Here is the card from Theresa over at The Scrapbooking Queen. The step card is so neat and having the scripture printed on vellum and then placed over the designer cardstock gives it a very delicate and romantic feeling to me.

On Vacation ~ Until the 17th

Tomorrow we head up north for some much needed family vacation time. I'll be gone til next Sunday on the 17th. We've got lots of fun planned and I can't wait to just chill at the beach with my family.

Coming Soon ~ Sentiment Packs

I'm going on vacation next week, so when I get back on the 18th of July, I'll be adding these to my store. I'll be selling them for $2.40 a pack. I always like having sentiments in lots of fonts and never have them right on hand when I need them. Do you have the same problem?

If you do, then I'd be so happy to supply you with these little sentiments. I've got a few others that I'm working that I will be adding to the store then as well. You get 20 different jpegs with the same sentiment that will just need to be resized and printed out. What I like to do is make a sheet of them, print out the sheet and then I have them whenever I need them.

If you have a favourite sentiment and would like me to make it up, just leave me a comment and I'll get to it as fast as I can (you know with it being summer vacation and having 2 munchkins).

It's that time again!!! So, I've survived the night away from my daughter. I hope she is doing well and has a great day filled with fun at summer camp. I can't wait to see her on Friday yet I am so glad that she is gaining some wonderful skills and independence away from home.

Today's scripture is such a wonderful one. It encourages each of us to be peacemakers. Peacemakers in our family, friends, relationship with our spouse, between our children, at work, in church and many other places. We will reap a harvest of righteousness. Doesn't it feel good when there is a problem and you can help smooth it out and make both of your kids... err.... whomever the problem is with ... happy and content with the decision that was make.

Zeni over at Scrappy Zeni made this cheerful card. I like all the colours of green, makes me think of lying on a nice quilt on the grass and reading a book. I also thought the thread she used on the buttons was super cute, makes them look like little candies to me. hehe

Mary over on CardzTV has another video on her blog. She used some super adorable flower paper and the colours on her card work so well together. Check out the cute card she made!!!

Mariam's card over at Purple Lily Studio has a more vintagy feel to it. Look at the distressing she did with the image and how the middle of the scripture is highlighted and lighter in colour, so pretty. I also really like the little pearls in the middle of the flowers, it makes the card very elegant!

I A-dore the little angel girl on Shannon's card from My Scrappy Creations. She reminds me of how I see Ruby up in Heaven. Her face in a bouquet of flowers, carrying them around and smelling them all the time. The purple flowers, her dress and the shading on the digi stamp make the card all tie in together.

Carolee over on Carolee's Creative Classroom did a wonderful job making this card look like it's quilted. One of my favourite things to do is the faux stitching. I think it adds such a cute touch to the card. She also coloured in certain parts of the letters, it's subtle and I didn't notice it at first, but I think it adds a special touch to the card.

Sunshiny yellow is the theme for Theresa's card over at The Scrapbooking Queen. If she keeps using more of the digi paper from Moon Cookie Gallery @ Whimsy Stamps, I'm certainly going to have to start buying them. They are just SO adorable!!!!

I pray everyone is doing well and that you are having a fun day celebrating the wonderful country you live in. Let's remember today to pray for our (I have friends in the USA army, coast guard and navy and consider the USA "my" country as well) soliders who are fighting to protect our freedom both here and overseas. We truly are endebted to these men and women that we can walk down our streets safely.

My baby girl is off to camp today. We got her room all set up and she was happy to head down to lunch with her new buddy/counsellor Eve. She usually finds someone she likes and attaches herself. I'm praying her first night away from home will go smoothly but I have my cordless phone with me just in case she needs to call home for some comfort. =)

It's Aizen's 4th Birthday!!!! Whooo hoooo!!!!!

We sure have been through a lot with this munchkin. I was 18 weeks pregnant with him when his big sister Ruby passed away and his first ultrasound picture was the day before her funeral. We saw him for the first time on Valentine's Day of 2007. He PROUDLY displayed that he was a boy and here's his first perfect picture:

I went high risk with him as I did with all my other pregnancies. Aizen wasn't planned but he was most certainly wanted. I went in every week from 31 weeks to 37 weeks to get an ultrasound done and he Always had his hand right near his right cheek. This picture is from when he was 34 weeks:

Here is the very first picture of him and look at what he did! Wiggled his hand up so it could be by his cheek. hehe

This is by far my FAVOURITE newborn picture of him. Look at those little balled up hands and the nookie that looks huge on his face.

My little guy on his 1st birthday. He's a total adrenaline junkie and was being held up in the air for this picture:

2 Years Old and trying his very first plum. Oh he was so excited and he had it everywhere.

3 years old and he got tools for his birthday. This kid will follow around his papa all day long and try to help him fix things. It's still one of his favourite toys.

My little man just a few months ago. Look how much he's grown up. I can't believe it's the little peanut who used to kick me in the ribs and keep me up all night when I was pregnant with him.

We've had a lot of challenges with him but he's such a sweet little boy. I can't wait to see how he develops this year. School will be great for him and althought he is autistic and severely speech delayed he's thriving and suprising us with new things every day.

Such a great scripture for all of us to remember. It's my son's 4th birthday today and this kid has such a cheerful heart. He's such a sweetie and makes me think of this scripture so often. He reminds me that I need that cheerful heart as well.

What a cheerful card Shannon over at My Scrappy Creations made. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out if the flower in the bottom left hand corner is from the plant or one of the ones she handmakes. It's very pretty.

I really like this scripture. It teaches us about God's patience and His desire for all to come to know Him and spend eternity with Him. For all of us to come to repentance for things we have done that make Him sad, all we have to do is come to Him and ask for forgiveness. It's as simple as that. Jesus died on the cross for us and He had to see every sin we would do and yet He STILL died for us. How horrible that must have been for Him to have to bear every single sin of all mankind and yet He Willingly died so that we may spend eternity with our Heavenly Father. How awesome is that??

Theresa, over at The Scrapbooking Queen (quite by chance) used Ruby's favourite colour in her card this week. Ruby loved the colour purple. Look how cute the little tulle pouf is. =D

This is such a wonderful scripture for all of us to remember. A friend loves at all times. There are so many ways that we can show our friendship to others and of course one of mine is to send cards just because. It's so nice to get an "I'm thinking of you card" in the mail. It is such a sweet way to let others know just how much they mean to you.

I originally did this stamp with the hearts in the background and decided to share it with and without the hearts. My designers have shown ways to use this digi stamp both ways.

Here is a sweet card by Shannon over at My Scrappy Creations. I really like the butterflies and gems on the side of the card. All the colours work so well and look how cute her card looks when the backdrop has those very little and delicate flowers.

This next card is by Zeni at Scrappy Zeni. She makes some really cute cards and scrapbook layouts so please go and check out her blog. The thing that really strikes me the most about this card is the background paper with the words. It really makes me think of what friendship entails... giggles, smiles, laughter, memories. What a great touch for this scripture.

My daughter Melody really likes the butterfly on Theresa's card. Melody is a bug nut and she'll rescue and care for any bug she can find in the yard. This is a neat folded card that The Scrapbooking Queen has made and I think I'm going to have to make a card similar to this b/c you get a surprise with every layer you unfold.

Ladies, you all did such a great job with this scripture this week. I'm hoping I'll be able to get a new printer soon so I can make some cards with these scriptures as well. hmmm.... maybe I'll just send some cardstock over to my inlaws and have dad print some for me...... hehe

Little Artists ~ Update On Melody's Birthday Party =D

For Melody's birthday we had her party at a local pottery place. The children had a really great time painting their creations. I've only added photos of Melody painting but you can see the finished ceramics that each of the kids made. I'm so happy that the children had a really good time and got to take home something pretty.

I'm so glad that you have found these scripture freebies through Mary's site. Here's what you do... well, here's what I do after I've created them.....

1. Click on the image and it will go to another screen and be huge.
2. Right click and save it to your computer.
3. Open up whatever Word program you have on your computer. I have Windows Office 2007.
Now you can do this next part 2 different ways.
4a. Look for a tab at the top that says "Insert", click on it.
4b. Click on the icon that says "Picture" and find the image where you saved it on the computer.
OR..... 4c. You can right click on the picture and "Copy", then "Paste" it into the document.

5. Right click on the image when it's in your word program and select "Size"
6. Make it whatever size you would like.
7. Once it's the size you'd like, print it out onto the paper that you want it to be on.
8. Cut it out and craft to your heart's content!!

I hope that helps, if you need any other help just let me know. After you do it once, you'll be able to do this with any digi stamp that you download. There are lots here, so please download those as well so you can bless others with God's Word. (((hugs)))

Ruby Tuesday Scripture Freebie ~ James 4 vs. 8a

We have been having some Wonderful weather up here in Ontario. The sun is shining, my kids are outside and our mini garden is starting to sprout. We've got 2 kinds of peas, green beans, lettuce, carrots, spanish onions and kale growing out there. It's our first year trying and I can't wait to pick some veggies later on and cook with them.

Here is the scripture for this week and it's certainly another of my favourites. It took me years to really get this scripture and to feel comfortable believing and living in it. I had a rough background as a kid and I just could never wrap my head around a father who cared for you and loved you. It was so hard for me to think that if I came near God (who then I was comparing to my dad and was strict, vengeful and disciplined you with wrath!! ~ oh how blind I was hehe) that He would come near me. This scripture made NO sense to me whatsoever.

It wasn't until a few years after I had been attending the Stouffville Christian Fellowship that I saw Walt (the pastor and my then boyfriends dad) as what a father truly should be like. Walt taught me that God was not at all like my earthly father but a kind, caring, gentle and disciplined his children for their benefit through his own actions and how he raised his son and daughter. I could then make sense of this scripture. So, here it is. I hope that you are blessed by it. (((hugs)))

Mary, over at Cardz TV made this lovely "S" card. The flower designer paper is so pretty and I really like the aquamarine colour of the flowers with the chocolate brown. The pearls give it a little touch of elegance. Mary even has a YouTube post about how to make this "S" card, so be sure to check it out and covet her accent. I know I do. hehe

I adore the flower detail that went into this card by Shannon at My Scrappy Creations. They are so cheery and springish. The look of the 2 designer papers in the background tie all the other colours of the card in together. I'm sure whoever receives this card will be very blessed.

It's Melody's Birthday!!!!!!!!

It's my little girl's birthday today. She turned 10 at 1:34am. It's hard for me to think that she is now in double digits when this time 10 years ago we were both struggling to stay alive.

Melody was born at 34 weeks but stopped growing at 31 weeks. I had pre-eclampsia and my placenta tore off the wall and she was born with no vitals. It took them 17 minutes to revive her and she had 3/4 of her head bruised from a forceps into the uterus delivery. She spent 2 weeks in the Special Care Nursery and here is a picture of her at a day old.

My sweet bunny at 1, she always loved smiling and pulling up grass in the yard.

2 years old and looking extra sweet as the flower girl at a friend's wedding!!

She loved bubbles, singing and looking for bugs at age 3.

Here she is living up to her name at the Ontario Science Center!!! Look at my little 4 year old rockstar. hehe

5 and being silly as always with a pullup on her head. She loves to make people laugh and it always pulling silly stunts and goofy faces.

Only 6 and already learning to drive ;P......

She found treasure at the beach in Muskoka the summer she was 7.

This kid has some seriously long legs, she really is all legs. This was at her 8th birthday party at nana and papa's house.

Here Melody is a month after she had her hair cut in honour of her sister Ruby. She was able to donate 13 inches to Locks of Love. She has such a great smile. Here she is at her 9th birthday party.

I love you sweet Melody. You are such a wonderful little girl and I'm looking forward to the next 10 years and our late night talks about the Lord. Melody is also celebrating being a Christian for 6 years today. Happy birthday sweetheart!!!!!

I wanted to say thank you to giftshoppe2 for alerting me to a mispelling on one of my scriptures. I've updated the original post and below is the new one with the correct spelling of ephesians. If you see something like that on any other stamps, please let me know. =D

Now to download the images, it's pretty easy. Click on the image and it will open up into the bigger image. Right click on it and just save it to your computer. I edit my images in Word and size it to how I want, them print it out. I hope that helps to the Anonymous person who was wondering how to download them.

What a great scripture for all of us to keep close to our heart. We have so much stress in our lives and what a comfort that we can just give it all to our Saviour b/c He truly does care about us. =D

I couldn't make an example this week, my printer ran out of ink and we are in the midst of saving up to buy a new one. We have a canon but I want to get an epson so that I only have to replace single colour cartridges. But Theresa made a Gorgeous card!!! I really like the yellow designer paper she used to put the scripture on.

New Bitty Bows In My Store!!!!
